Painting the Town
29th December 2016
Happy & Peaceful New Year to everyone.
A very busy December, I had a lovely time making Christmas presents for the family.
But the main eater of time! was a commision I made for a very nice lady in Reading. It ws the largest piece I have made to commision but I was pleased with the result. It was a surprise Christmas presnt for her husband, I hope he liked it as much as she did.
Now its heads down to finish some pieces for the exhibition in February.
See my events page for full details of upcoming bookings

Hoping for some dry weather, preferably with some sun thrown in too!

Had a great September - talks and workshops in Cosby, Reading, Stratford Upon Avon and Chipping Campden, where once again I was made very welcome and met some very talented and lovely ladies. See the Night light gallery page for photo's.
I am now busy getting a new range of key rings and brooches ready for the West Country Quilt Show at Bristol in November. D0 come and say hello if you are there!

Just a quick update, back from Cornwall where I had a great time. Very talented and welcoming groups and they have all asked if I can come back next year!
Would love to re-visit so just need to work out dates.
If there are any other groups who would like to be included in my "tour" just get in touch and I will see if we can get the dates to work.
24th April 2017
Finally have a bit of time to add my new workshop to the site - a lighthouse doorstop (see workshops page for details).
I have had a very busy but thoroughly enjoyable start to 2017. Exhibiting, giving talks and running workshops and on every occasion meeting some very nice people. I do hope to be able to get my gallery more up to date in the next couple of weeks so if your workshop isn't yet showing, keep checking!!

My end of year resolution is to get my events and gallery pages up to date by the end of December!!
9th February 2017
I can't believe its February already.. I have been really busy making pieces for the Zero nine exhibition in Romsey, which is on until 20th February and I am off to the Craft4Crafters Show in Exeter next week. - Please see my events page for full details.
I really enjoyed my afternoon with the Quirky Quilters recently in Stoke sub Hamdon. Those of you whose workshop photo's aren't yet on display, I am working on that too! Re designing some pages of this website that will be on display soon
My name is Anne Hellyer - although some of you will know me as Anne Moore!
I started this website to introduce my painted and stitched textiles to a wider audience.
I love paint and I love textiles and I combine the two in my work.
I hand paint all the fabric I use and then print the finer details, and embellish with machine stitch. Each piece is individually designed,
I create work that is flexible - able to change location as the mood takes you!
To that end each piece is self supporting. They do not require frames - can be either free standing or wall mounted - manipulated into a shape or hung "flat".
I do hope you enjoy looking at my site.
27th February 2017
There are just not enough hours in the day at the moment. I had a brilliant time at Craft4Crafters in Exeter, so now I am trying to re-stock, develop new designs and prepare for forthcoming workshops. So the website and Facebook are having to take a back seat (again!!)
If you bought a Beach Hut Bag Kit in Exeter and you have no "beach" please get in touch, a slight error when packaging a few of them - sorry.
